Efeste Wine Cellars is the place to go when you went to impress your friends. From the outside, the winery is fairly non-descript (welcome to the warehouse district of Woodinville), but enter and you will find a stylishly decorated, modern tasting room and winery. The first thing you see as you enter is a state of the art kitchen with a center island counter and bar stools allowing people to relax and watch the chef at work.
Heading back toward the tasting bar is another little enclave where a small group can sit comfortably as they sip wine. The wine bar is a long slab of wood with natural knots left on the unfinished edge giving rugged warmth to the steel and concrete surroundings. It looks out over the winery production facilities and is large enough to accommodate a good sized group.
And we haven't even talked about the wine yet! Efeste offers mostly proprietary Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon based red wines. On the white side, they offer Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling varietal wines. Winemaker Brennon Leighton sources all the grapes from Eastern Washington's most prestigious vineyards and almost each wine has been awarded a score of 90 points or higher.
Efeste Wine Cellars hosts private events and offer cooking classes that are open to the public.
