DeLille Cellars has always been a Washington shining star. Located on the border of Woodinville, drive up their short driveway and enter the grounds of what looks like a French, country-style Chateau. Step in the lower level door to the wine cellar and tasting room and be prepared to taste award winning, high end wines in the perfect old world setting.
DeLille has a few lables to watch for; Chaleur Estate (Bordeaux style), Doyenne (Rhone style) and Grand Ciel (Estate fruit from their Red Mountain vineyard). The focus has always been premium red wines. Their winery is still relatively small, as is the tasting room, but are now open for regular tasting room hours (it used to be by appointment only). There are small tables sprinkled around the room and the exceptional tasting room staff will wander out to take care of you if you cannot get to them behind the bar. It's a very friendly and inviting atmosphere.
The main event room upstairs and the beautiful outside grounds area can be rented out for special occassions. Plan ahead, this venue fills up quickly.
