Stina's Cellars winery and tasting room, located just down the street from Tacoma Community College, is owned and operated by Perry and Penny Preston. Perry, the winemaker, had been home winemaking since the 1990's until he picked-up several amateur winemaking awards and was urged by friends and family to produce wines professionally.
They source their grapes mostly from Eastern Washington but are starting to produce wines from cool climate, Western Washington grapes such as Siegerrebe. Their small production is focused on dry and off-dry white wines as well as premium red wines. The Sangiovese is a favorite here.
Consider hosting your private event in their tasting room. They can accommodate up to 30 people and with the rental of their space, a winery tour and wine tasting is included. Be sure to call ahead for a tasting appointment for groups over 10 people.
